Your contribution to the library, whether financial or through your volunteer time, keeps the John Trigg Ester Library going, and we thank you.
Unless your donation states otherwise, all donations will go towards general operating funds, to be used for the maintenance and operation of current JTEL buildings and properties (with the exception of the Name Plate). Here are a few of the ways you can contribute to the JTEL:
- Buy a donor leaf: the birch tree in the Clausen cabin has leaves available for $50, $100, $250 or $500. You may purchase a leaf for yourself, your family, your pet or dedication to someone. Please indicate in the “Message” section if you would like your leaf in the name of someone/thing other than yourself. We have room for 20 characters per line, and 2 lines on the leaf.
- Buy a name plate: a metal plate that will be affixed to a bookshelf in the soon-to-be-built New Library, thereby dedicating that shelf to a person or pet of your choice. Plates are $50 and funds are dedicated for the capital campaign for the new building. Please let us know if you want it associated with a particular author or section, and we will try to attach it nearby.
- Donate to the Ruth Jasper Children’s Fund: your donation of any amount supports children’s literacy.
- Buy a cookbook: The Throwdown Cookbook is filled with mouthwatering recipes for pies from the LiBerry Music Festivals from 2007 on. Our first run sold out, but now we have recipes from 2013 through 2017! Each cookbook is $20. Please visit the Square site to order your cookbook.
- Donate by mail Make checks payable to John Trigg Ester Library and mail them to PO Box 468, Ester AK 99725.
- Donate at our drop boxes – A donation and membership box is set up on the back porch of the Clausen Cabin and at the Ida Lane Clausen Gazebo.
- Donate at the library during our open hours.
- Sign up at Fred Meyer’s Community Rewards Fund: Sign up under JTEL, #89428, and every time you shop at Freddy’s, they’ll donate to us. And this will not impact your personal rewards points, either!
- PickClickGive: Please consider donating to JTEL when you sign up for your annual Permanent Fund Dividend.
The JTEL is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity. Donations to the JTEL are tax-deductible as allowed by law under IRS Code Section 170. Your donation to the library, whether of time or money, will give back to the community many times over.
