Make a Wooden Bird Feeder

Join us at the Ester Library to build a wooden bird feeder! Materials and parts will be provided for participants to assemble their own bird feeders to attract our feathered friends.

When: Wednesday, August 3, 2 – 4 pm

Where: Clausen Cabin at 3629 Main Street in Ester, across from the Golden Eagle

Who: Open to all ages, young children please bring an adult.

WET FELTED NESTING FLOWER CRAFT PROJECT

Create a felted flower using colorful wool roving.

When: Wednesday, July 6, from 2 – 4 pm

Where: Clausen Cabin at 3629 Main Street in Ester, across from the Golden Eagle

Who: All ages, young children should come with an adult.

Bring a dishpan, a water bottle with warm water, and be ready for creative fun!

And finishes with a final product!!

Geocaching* for Beginners!

When: Wednesday, June 22 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm

Teens, pre-teens with adults and adults can join the fun in learning the joys of geocaching! Make your reservations now as class size will be limited to 8 persons! To register, email your name(s) to info@esterlibrary.org or call 907.374.8080

* Geocaching is an outdoor recreational activity, in which participants use a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver or mobile device and other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers, called “geocaches” or “caches”, at specific locations marked by coordinates all over the world.

Bicycle Safety Check-up at the Ester Library

The John Trigg Ester Library is offering a free Bicycle Safety Check-up at the John Trigg Ester Library on Wednesday, June 8th from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. Bring your bike to 3629 Main Street in beautiful downtown Ester. Bring your bike to the library and make sure it’s ready for summer riding! Safety is important!

2022 Memorial Day Weekend Plant Sale

The Growing Ester’s Biodiversity Ester Seed Library will be holding its second annual plant sale Saturday May 28 from noon to 4 p.m. at the John Trigg Ester Library Clausen Cabin.

All starts come from the seed library and all proceeds support the program! Many varieties of flowers, herbs and vegetables will be available!

Goodcents – Golden Valley Electric Foundation awarded the John Trigg Ester Library a grant to replace our aging Monitor with a new “smart” Toyotomi! The indoor air quality in the library is greatly improved, the new stove is much quieter and it cycles much less frequently. Many thanks to all who helped to make this happen!
