Kids Art Programs

Willow Studios Arts and JTEL are combining for kids and the young at heart art programs on Mondays from 3:30 – 5:30. This week we’ll work on Sun Prints.
This project might be a challenge because you need the sun to do it for the best result. But that can be a challenge to predict for the Alaska weather. So it can be done with a desk lamp and I have a few I can bring for this project.
First design your composition and make your cut outs of construction paper. Then we are going to water our paper really well and add beautiful watercolor to it. Then carefully place your cutouts on the wet watercolor carefully. Then put it outside in the sun or under a desk lamp. Let dry and when completely dry, remove the cut outs and you will have a beautiful print. Materials: Watercolor paper, Watercolor Paint, Black Construction Paper, Scissors.
